I treat running a kind of meditation and a time to quiet down my noisy mind from daily work and routines. Running is simple and presumably anyone can do because it involves the simplest movement and most rudimentary coordination to complete. Arguably there is no need to start running with prior learning though I would recommend getting some idea (from YouTube) how the pros see it would give us some basic ideas on how to protect oneself without getting injured *too* quickly.

Given its simplicity, I treat running a de-toxification process to my mind — it helps me tidy up loose ends and revives significant matters being overlooked or overwhelmed. Initially, fearing that I would immediately forget what has shone on me, I would stop and write notes, as if altar boys-equivalent in some mysterious spiritual activities to copy down what was revealed in the oracles. Later on I realize there is no such need, because I only need recall the locations I reached at each revelation then the details would be automatically connected and replayed together. This is why I always prefer running different routes outdoor than on a threamill, to avoid confusing the information harvested from the exercise.

This is how I enjoy the repetitions unavoidable from running — it does help me mentally. I always look forward to the new revelations to amaze and surprise me, and these experiences do help me to become a better person to live my life during the non running times.
